The season is here!

Ladies and gentlemen, I am thrilled to announce the beginning of the 2012 strawberry season: the first day of picking will be Thursday, June 7!

That's right, this upcoming Thursday we will be providing both pre-picked and pick-your-own strawberries to the Menomonie, Hudson, and Eau Claire areas.

The warm weather that we have enjoyed this spring has brought on an early season this year. As I look back in out records, I realized that last year, we did not start our season until June 23. This year the warm weather has spurred on a delicious, early crop of berries which promise to be every bit as juicy and delicious as the berries you have learned to love, grown locally right here in Irvington, Wisconsin.

As a reminder, during the season we pick fresh berries each morning Monday through Saturday, weather dependent. All of our sales sites are operated on a first-come-first-serve basis. However, we will reserve pails at the field. Please call a day in advance, or before 8:00 AM if you wish to reserve pail(s) for pick-up later in the day.

If you wish to pick your own, we are open from 6:00 AM through 7:00 PM Monday though Saturday.

As always, feel free to call our local berry hotline for more information or if you have any questions:
